Rosh Hashanah - Day 2 Teaching Part 2

Greetings! Today, we are on the 2nd day of the Rosh Hashanah celebration.  It started Friday at sundown and will conclude Sunday at sundown.  Each year I keep this Holy Day, God blesses me with more revelation regarding the return of Jesus.  God had shown me why Jesus did not know when He would return.  Jesus is called the Word of God, and we can read the Word of God all we want but we will not find that information in the Bible anywhere.  The truth is that no one knows…only Father God.  And every year, this season is all about the preparation to go.  God wants us to keep examining our lives and repent (change) with the help of His Holy Spirit.  He does not want us to be asleep, like the 10 virgins in Matthew chapter 25 verses 1-13 and have the return of Jesus catch us like a thief in the night.

What caught my attention this year is the fact that this is the only Holy Day that is celebrated for 2 days.  The Diaspora (Jews living outside of Israel) wanted to be sure that the correct day was commemorated.  And back in the day, Rosh Hashanah was established only after the new moon sighting (witness testimony).  However, word of the new moon sighting had to be delivered by foot.  So, they extended the celebration an extra day due to possible delays in getting the word out.  It came to be called the "one long day.”

What I found most interesting is that this is the Holy Day where Jesus said, “No one knows the day or the hour.” In this situation, that Word has proven to be true.  He fulfilled the first three (3) Holy Days right on the very day and I know He will do the same with the rest of the Holy Days left.  But, with this Holy Day, He will have us staying on our toes, by the fact that we don’t know the day or the hour.  So, that is what I learned this year by keeping it.

No one can set an exact date.  Some have tried and have been proven liars.  The only thing we can do is watch for the signs.  We know it’s summer because it gets stinking hot.  I don’t care for summer much. Why? Because it reminds me of Hell fire too much…LOL…However every year the signs of summer roll around again.  It even appears to me that summers are becoming hotter.  Fire is the way the world is supposed to end, and a whole world on fire is going to be Hell on earth. Please use the Teshuvah season that God gives us every year to get right with God and get ready to leave when the time comes.

In conclusion, take Hebrews chapter 3 seriously.  An unbelieving heart is an evil heart to God.  Listen, while there is still time.  More than ever, the signs are all around us.  Rosh Hashanah is celebrated with sweet treats. Spiritually, there is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.  We need to be walking with the Holy Spirit living in us when the time comes to leave.  Let us not be caught trying to get some oil (Holy Spirit) in our lamps when Jesus returns because then it will be too late.  May we change so we can be inscribed in the Book of Life.  I will post something on Yom Kippur (September 24, 2023, at sundown) soon! Love you all!
